For the past few years we’ve been blogging on our Myspace, but lately we figured that we needed a more direct place to blog our news, actual opinions, and random assed thoughts. SO here we are. The Official Brothers Gore blog.. linked to our website, brosgore.com, and these posts will also still be available on our Myspace.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our most recent run of shows, and to everyone friending us on Myspace and digging the new songs. Also, a big thanks to Captain’s Dead for posting some of our tracks from “FRAG” (an album that you can still download….for FREE). It’s a damn fine music blog and we were really honored to be mentioned. Also, big thanks are also in order for The Day Jobs, a fantastic Athens based rock/pop culture blog (that I also now read on a daily basis), for posting about our Flicker show last week.

I had an amazing time playing solo last Thursday night with Andrew Rose Gregory at Mercury Lounge. I don’t do that very often, so it was a treat pulling out early DPW/Most/Brothers Gore nuggets. If you’re in Decatur, Andrew is at Eddie’s TONIGHT!! He’s a brilliant songwriter. Don’t miss out.

We’re going to be a part of the 500 Songs For Kids benefit at Smith’s Olde Bar this May. The theme is “500 Greatest Sing Along Songs”, and we will be performing a classic. Won’t tell you what it is just yet, because I’m an ass… but you’ll see. CLASSIC! We’re performing on May 7th.

“Paper Yachts & The Reasons For The Whiskey” is 95% complete. We mix and master next and then it’s in your hands in May. You can get a teaser at our Myspace. Tell us what you think.

We’ll be blogging here quite a bit and you can also read my other blog, sonicdork, if you’re so inclined. Back to rocking live on April 2nd at Tasty World with Mass Solo Revolt and The Cut*Off…..and it’s our first show with bassist (and sister) Anna Gore. The Gore Family Singers in action!

Cheers!
